Hi, welcome π
Β
I'm Joost MF Liebregts β a designer, maker and facilitator driven by
the belief that real, lasting change happens when people come together
to create it.

I work at the intersection of design, technology and social innovation β
facilitating bottom-up processes, coaching future designers, and lately,
exploring how AI can strengthen human cooperation.

πΒ More about my journey
I trained as an Industrial Designer at TU Eindhoven β learning to
see systems, ask better questions, and design with people rather
than for them.

That foundation led me to facilitation and coaching. I started
helping design students find their voice, discovering that my real
interest wasn't in designing products, but in designing the
conditions where people grow. I facilitated bottom-up processes
for municipalities, helped political organizations align across
borders, and kept asking: how do we create spaces where people
feel safe enough to truly collaborate?

Then, in 2023, I was walking through a forest in Drenthe, deep in reflection with an AI. It asked me: "What would you say to your younger self?"
I stood there with tears in my eyes.
I stood there with tears in my eyes.
That moment connected everything. If technology can help us
understand ourselves like this β what could it mean for the
collaborative spaces I'd been designing all along?

Now I explore that question in practice: AI as a partner in
human cooperation. Capturing nuanced
conversations, surfacing patterns, helping groups recognize
themselves in collective decisions. Still the same mission β
fostering connected, growth-minded environments. Just with a
new tool that I didn't see coming.
